Learning
Education and training is extremely important to ensure all processes in our environment, safety and health management system are effective. If this critical element is missing, none of the other system elements can, or will be effective.
Most EHS training is conducted by our local operations in accordance with local laws and regulations and the employee job responsibilities.
In order to make EHS training accessible to all employees, we have developed an online learning management system and issued several training modules globally:
- EHS Induction Training – This module covers the basic EHS responsibilities and where employees can get additional information on job specific health and safety training modules such as Incident Investigation, Chemical Hazards, Electrical Safety, Office Ergonomics, Machine Safe Guarding, Lockout-Tagout, Personal Protective Equipment, Travel Safety and Security and more.
- EHS Compliance Training - This module complements the Corporate Code of Conduct. It provides a focus on EHS to ensure that employees act safely, ethically and responsibly.
- Sustainability Awareness Training – This module introduces the concept balancing the needs of people, the planet and profits. It emphasizes that sustainability should be integrated into our daily lives at home as well as at work and provides specific tips on working safely, saving energy and reducing waste.
The training modules are available in nine languages and offline versions are available to be presented in a classroom environment. The learning management system tracks the names and locations of participants so that completion certificates can be issued.
