Invensys recognizes that our environmental footprint extends beyond the boundaries of our facilities and, in fact, is affected by our entire supply chain. We expect our suppliers to conduct their operations in a sustainable manner. Our goal is to work collaboratively with our suppliers to enhance their sustainability performance as well as our own.

Invensys uses a variety of tools to evaluate supplier performance including self-assessments, audits, questionnaires and site visits. We have enhanced our current supplier self assessment & audit process tool to include sustainability factors such as:

Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance and citations
EHS accountability through the management structure
Eco-efficiency and conservation
Life Cycle Analysis with respect to Eco-Efficiency
Injury/Illness rates
Environmental Management Systems
Employee training
Materials management
Risk prevention
Waste Management & Minimization
Corporate citizenship (Code of Business conduct, product safety, employee hours/wages, minimum age and forced labor issues, discrimination, and worker association)

The sustainability criteria are weighted equal to other supply chain criteria in the evaluation process.
