CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, USA (ISA EXPO 2005) - October 25, 2005 - Invensys Process Systems today announced that it has extended the warranties on its Foxboro pressure transmitters to provide the industry's longest standard warranty. (See standard "Terms & Conditions" for full details.) Foxboro pressure transmitters include gauge, absolute and differential pressure sensors for a broad range of pressure, level, and flow rate applications throughout the process industry.

"We know from data and field experience that our pressure transmitters are extremely reliable and we have design and manufacturing quality programs in place to ensure that they stay that way," said Joseph Downey, marketing director, Foxboro Measurements and Instruments Division at Invensys Process Systems. "We felt it was time to provide our customers with additional peace-of-mind and confidence that they are making the right decision when choosing to use Foxboro transmitters. By offering new best-in-class warranties we help provide that confidence."

Invensys is extending the standard warranty on its pressure transmitter line from two years to five years, at no additional charge. "With this change we believe that we now have the longest standard warranty of all the major suppliers in our industry," says Downey. "And to show the extent to which we'll go to demonstrate our confidence, we are also introducing a real first in our industry, a 17-year warranty on our premium performance transmitters."

Invensys is offering the optional 17-year warranty on its premium performance 25 and 50 Series pressure transmitters. Some competitors are offering 12-year and "lifetime" (15-year) warranties on their high performance transmitters. Invensys has decided to extend the standard 5-year warranty by adding an additional 12 years of protection when the 17-year warranty option is specified.
Supporting the new warranties is a rigid quality assurance procedure for tracking defect rate, quality control indicators, and field performance.
