Pat Zito appointed non-executive director of Invensys plc

Invensys plc announces that Pasquale (Pat) Zito has been appointed a non-executive director.

Pat is President of the worldwide automotive original equipment and aftermarket operations of Pilkington Group Ltd and Nippon Sheet Glass Company, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of glass and glazing products for the building and automotive markets . He joined Pilkington in 1985 as finance director of the Group’s Australian operations. He became President, Automotive OE Europe in 1997 and was appointed to the Board of Pilkington in 2002. He will be joining the Remuneration and Audit Committees.

Mike, who joined the Board in May last year, is Group Chief Executive of BNFL and was formerly President and CEO of The Dow Chemical Company. Bay Green, who is a Vice Chairman of Dresdner Kleinwort and a Specialist Advisor to the Wholesale and Institutional Markets Business Unit of the Financial Services Authority, joined the Board in January 2005 and is Chairman of our Audit Committee. Jean-Claude Guez, a former partner at Accenture, joined the Board in January 2003 and is Chairman of our Remuneration Committee.”
