Invensys opens new Shanghai, China office

Largest Asia Pacific facility will help meet china's growing energy market, serves as global engineering excellence centre to support clients in Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

Invensys Process Systems (IPS), a global technology, software and consulting firm, today announced the opening of a new 18,300-square-meter (197,000-square-foot) facility in Shanghai, strengthening its commitment to clients in the Asia Pacific market. The new location is the company's largest in the region and will support local and global project deployment. It features an engineering excellence centre, modernized staging area, technology showcase centre, and a training and customer support service centre. It will also serve as the company's regional sales and operations headquarters.The grand opening coincides with the company's recently signed U.S. $250 million contract with China Nuclear Power Engineering Corporation (CNPE) to develop and implement four large-scale, fully digitized nuclear control rooms, equipped with the latest simulation technologies, critical control and safety systems, for two new nuclear power plant sites in Fujian and Zhejiang.
