Capital Markets Day Presentations

Invensys plc is today hosting a Capital Markets Day in London at which presentations will be made by Ulf Henriksson, Chief Executive, Steve Hare, CFO and the Business Presidents of the Process Systems, Rail Group and Controls business groups.

The presentations are available for download from the Group’s website, www.invensys.com and an audio recording of proceedings will be available on the website later today.

The presentations focus upon strategy and the businesses and no new financial data or trading update is being provided. In his presentation, Ulf Henriksson will comment as follows on his view of the next stage for Invensys:

“Our priorities during the past three years have been about stabilising performance and starting to build a foundation for growth. Our primary focus has been upon the operational and cash performance of our businesses and improving our capital structure and therefore reducing the limitations the old structure placed upon our actions and value. The results we announced on 24 May 2007 demonstrated the progress that we have made and the Board believes that there is more value to be created as we build upon this stronger growth platform.

“This phase of our journey towards becoming a high-performing, sustainable and cohesive business consists of four separate strategic initiatives:

• Increasing our investments in each of our businesses to deliver more value-added innovative engineering solutions and services with the objective of giving our customers greater efficiency and success;
• Leveraging our capabilities for greater value. Where natural and appropriate, we will share technology and market capabilities across businesses;
• Creating greater efficiency within our back office functions under leadership and guidance from the corporate centre. Our first project is within our finance function through co-sourcing with a third party provider; and
• Improving our capital structure, with the objective of removing our remaining limitations so that we can improve our ability to achieve our growth potential.”
