Eurotherm Spain has won a Euro 550,000 contract to supply a control system for use on a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Toledo, Spain.
The plant is being built for Servier Laboratories. When commissioned in April, the plant will manufacture a range of intermediate products.
Under the terms of the contract, Eurotherm Spain is providing a control system for four intermediate production reactors currently being installed on the site.
The control system includes 8 EurothermSuite Operation Servers, five T940 Process Supervisors, and three T800 Visual Supervisors. It also includes 2,200 I/O with the associated historical data, alarm management, and production recipes.
One of the key success factors in winning this contract was Eurotherm’s ability to offer a complete solution, including validation, installation and supervision services. The newly awarded project follows several others won over the past three years in the face of strong competition from Schneider.
As a result, Eurotherm Spain is hopeful of providing control technology for more reactors planned for the same site over the coming months.
