Field Devices and Sensors (also called Measurement & Instrumentation Products)
Field devices and sensors refer to monitoring devices used in production processes. Field devices, including temperature, pressure and flow control valves and analytical instruments, are generally used in continuous process industries, whereas sensors (for example, proximity and positional sensors) are more often found in industries involving assembling products. Field devices and sensors can be connected in a field network, to provide networked production monitoring. This includes our Foxboro® and Foxboro-Eckardt field devices.
