Tree planting
Invensys Rail donates £10 to the International Tree Foundation for each UK-based employee who travels to work on foot, by bicycle, or by public transport or by carpooling, based on a twice-yearly survey.
Sponsorship
Invensys Rail coordinates sponsorship schemes, both academic (for local engineering students) and non-academic (for employees and their relatives who are competing at county or national level in sporting or artistic events).
Training and employment
Invensys Controls in Brazil has collaborated with the Helen Keller Educational Association to provide training and employment to hearing impaired people. 13 hearing impaired people are employed at Caxias do Sul.
"Relay for Life"
We were the lead sponsor for the “Relay for Life”, a Foxboro, Massachusetts event benefitting the American Cancer Society.
$60,000 donation
Our employees assisted after the 2008 China earthquake in Sichuan Province. They contributed over $20,000 in personal donations, which was “double matched” by us to offer a total donation of around $60,000.
Blood donations
Invensys Rail employees at the Chippenham, UK and other sites participate quarterly in a “bloodmobile” initiative sponsored by the National Blood Service.
Recycling
Employees at the Invensys Controls site in Matamoros, Mexico coordinated a can recycling campaign to support a local homeless adult care centre (Asilo de Ancianos pan y vida A.C.).
