At Invensys, sustainability is fundamentally about the best long-term way to run a business. We are committed to being a responsible employer, supplier, customer and neighbour. We strive to do our part in protecting the environment for future generations and in being a responsible citizen of our shared global community.
In the last reported year we have:
- Developed and deployed the Invensys sustainability policy
- Improved our employee safety performance: Reduced the Lost Work Case Incident Rate (LWCIR) by 32% compared with the previous year
- Reduced the Total Recordable Case Incident Rate (TRCIR) by 45% compared with the previous year
- Reduced our environmental footprint and
exceeded our 5% reduction target for each of
our environmental Key Performance Indicators
at our major locations:
- 12% reduction in energy use
- 13% reduction in CO2 emissions
- 25% reduction in water use
- 21% reduction in non-hazardous waste generation
- 24% reduction in hazardous waste generation
- Eliminated all chlorinated solvent use at Invensys-operated locations
- Participated in the United Nations Global Compact and Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP6)
- Listed on the UK FTSE4Good Index Series
- Deployed sustainability awareness training to all employees and completed our first Group-wide sustainability and wellness surveys
- Published “sustainability success stories” on how our products, services and solutions help our clients with their sustainability goals
